As My Patiences Grows

Recently, my brother and I decided that it would be better for my parents that I go up there and help them because I have a medical background. My brother is an graphic designer so he kind of do not know what to do. My mom has been a diabetic for some years now. She was managing it ok but recently develop fibriods on her ovaries. These fibroids are SO huge that they are pressing down on her uterus and causing her to bleed a lot. Well she was bleeding so much that on Valentine's day she was admitted into the hospital. She had to recieve 3 pints of blood through a blood transfusion. She go out that following Wednesday but she went back for a D & C on that Friday. While she was in the hospital, her blood sugar flucuated a lot. Now she is on insulin and on a very strict diet, something she is not use to. My dad spoils my mom by giving her whatever she wants to eat which is not good. So, I am here in Cleveland while my husband and son is in Columbus. I am helping my dad pick foods and showing him how to cook certain things to help my mom diet. She cannot have NO fried foods! I feel bad for her. We are Hispanic and love fried foods. Soon She will be ok. Her blood sugar has been lower than it has been. It's still kind of high but at least it is under 200. She is taking less and less booster insulin shots, which is great! Soon she will have a total hysterectomy or a Salpingo-oophrectomy with a hysterectomy. This kind of put me behind in my school work a little more but that is okay. My parents need my help and I can always make my classwork up. I do not like to be behind but stuff happens in life that we cannot control like this situation. And that is okay.

I like that I can write what I feel in this format. It helps me a lot with stress and expressing my feelings. I think that I will keep blogging after this class.
